Projects
Projects are the operational containers for delivering EX listening projects. Stages group under the Institute VOICE walk: Vision → Orchestrate → Invite → Comprehend → Evolve.
Survey run elsewhere is the first project type. The survey stays on the existing platform — we monitor; we do not launch a Pindrop survey. Analysis hangs on the export. The next round starts from what this round promised, in the same programme.
Creating a Project
- Open All pages at the foot of the sidebar and choose Projects and programmes under Organisation, then click New Project
- Choose who is running the survey first (they already run the survey / we will run it in Pindrop / not decided)
- Set the project title, link it to a client, and optionally assign it to a programme
- Pindrop creates the stage list for that type
Filtering the list
On Projects, filter by client, programme, or who runs the survey (they do / we do / not decided). The address bar keeps those filters so you can share a view. Clear filters returns the full list.
Stage Pipeline
Each project has a VOICE band over the delivery stages. On a Survey run elsewhere project the stages read Context, Strategy & import, Questionnaire, Their survey, Analysis, Story, Action, Close. Each stage has its own status:
- Not Started — work has not begun
- In Progress — stage is actively being worked on
- Completed — stage is done
- Skipped — stage was intentionally bypassed
Click any stage to open its detail panel and view or add tasks.
On a Survey run elsewhere project the client portal (Practice plan) asks for a typed signature on the strategy pack, the questionnaire (if we designed it), the board pack, and the action register. Those are sign-offs by the organisation's sponsor, not internal checklist ticks.
AEXP capstone
Tick This is an AEXP capstone in the new-project wizard (real engagement or simulated on sample data). The Capstone tab is a VOICE checklist of the pack the credential already names: questionnaire, communications plan, results presentation, action plan, reflective journal. A survey run elsewhere is a valid demonstration — a candidate whose organisation runs its survey in Qualtrics can still submit. The credential is held by the practitioner, not the platform. Download is blocked until each item is attached; missing files are not invented.
Tasks and Issues
Within each stage you can:
- Add tasks — individual work items assigned to team members, each with a status (To Do, In Progress, Done, Blocked)
- Log issues — problems or blockers with a severity level, tracked until resolved
- Record meetings — meeting notes linked to the project for a running engagement log
Linking to Other Platform Features
Projects can be connected to the other platform features used during the engagement:
- Questionnaires — link the questionnaire(s) built for this project
- Surveys — link the live survey(s) run under this project
- Analysis — connect the analysis work to the same project record
- Presentations — keep all the outputs you send in one place
Project Reporting
Go to Projects > Reporting for a cross-project performance dashboard. It shows total project count, task completion rates, active project count, open issues by severity, stage completion bottlenecks, and a status breakdown chart. Use the filters at the top to focus on a specific client, programme, or status.
Project Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Project created, not yet started |
| Active | Work is in progress |
| On Hold | Temporarily paused |
| Completed | All work finished |
| Archived | Project closed and archived |
