Item Frameworks
Item Frameworks
An item framework defines a structured set of dimensions, sub-dimensions, and scoring rules that can be applied across multiple questionnaires. Think of it as the architecture for a measurement model.
When to Use an Item Framework
Use item frameworks when:
- You are running a programme with several survey rounds where consistent measurement is essential
- You need to compare results across clients or rounds using the same construct
- Your organisation has a validated model you want to codify (e.g., an EX maturity model)
Creating a Framework
- Open the Workspace menu in the top bar and choose Item frameworks
- Click New framework
- Define dimensions and optional sub-dimensions
- Add items (questions) to each dimension
- Configure scoring rules (Likert scale, reverse scoring, etc.)
A questionnaire can be linked to a framework when it is created, which automatically applies the dimension structure and scoring logic.
