Organisation Structure

The Org Structure section lets you define the departments, teams, and reporting lines within the organisation you are listening to. This structure powers segmentation across the platform — survey results can be filtered and compared by any node in the hierarchy.

Setting Up Org Structure

Go to Clients > [Client Name] > Org Structure. You have two options:

  • Import from CSV — prepare a file with columns for unit name, type (department or team), and parent unit, then upload it to build the structure in bulk
  • Build manually — add departments and teams one by one using the editor, nesting them to reflect the real reporting hierarchy

Once saved, the structure is immediately available as filter options in survey analysis and reports.

How It Is Used

When running analysis on a survey, the org structure appears as a segmentation dimension. You can compare scores between departments, drill into a single team, or apply filters to isolate a subset of respondents. The same structure is used in the survey panel to target specific groups when building participant lists.

Keeping It Updated

Review and update the org structure whenever the organisation reorganises. Outdated structures lead to misleading segmentation — for example, showing results for a team that no longer exists or missing a newly formed department. Accurate structure data is foundational to meaningful analysis.
