Core Workflow
Pindrop is a practice layer. Running a survey in Pindrop is a module, not the hallway. The unit of work is the listening cycle.
Step 1: Capture the organisation
Open the client (your own organisation if you are in-house), choose Plan, then Context, and fill it in — organisation, priorities, incumbent tools (Qualtrics, Culture Amp, and so on), language they actually use. Context should change what you recommend. Empty context is an empty cycle.
Step 2: Assemble the listening cycle
Go to Plan, then Listening strategies. The builder walks Discover → Design → Measure → Govern → Assemble → Review → Export. The output is a signed strategy: channels, calendar, governance, privacy — not a survey date. Set a Review this strategy by date on the review step; it defaults to a year after approval.
Step 3: Decide who runs the survey
For each moment in the cycle:
- They already run the survey — name the platform on the channel (Qualtrics, Culture Amp, Peakon, Glint, or other). Qualtrics can live-pull; Culture Amp / Peakon / Glint come in as a workbook. SurveyMonkey and Typeform sit under other and still live-pull when those tools are on the client. You do not have to migrate collection.
- You run it in Pindrop — build a questionnaire, launch a survey, invitations and reminders.
- Offline — focus groups, stay interviews, works-council sessions. Record the moment; do not fake a survey.
Step 4: Questionnaire (when you design it)
Surveys, then Questionnaires — write your own questions or import (Word / PDF / Excel / Qualtrics), client review (Draft → In review → Approved). There is no paste-a-brief → questionnaire generator. AI can suggest dimensions.
Step 5: Analyse
Results for a stitched Qualtrics workbook or a Pindrop survey. Dual mapping if the same items need two true stories. Dashboards on surveys today; analysis-first decks already work without a Pindrop survey.
Step 6: The meeting
Results, then Presentations — fill the organisation's own PowerPoint template. Numbers are computed before prose. Verify quotes against the file before you share.
Step 7: Close the loop
On a result, the Improve tab turns findings into an action plan with a date to review progress. Actions holds the action plans, the workshops and You said, we did. If you run the work as a project, Projects tracks each stage and the organisation's sign-offs in the client portal. The next round should start from what this round promised, not a blank survey.
