Programmes
Programmes are the highest-level grouping in the project management hierarchy. A programme collects related delivery projects under a single umbrella — for example, an "Annual Engagement Programme" might contain separate projects for questionnaire design, running the survey, and results reporting.
Programmes and branded client portals sit on the Practice plan. Enterprise is SSO and custom frameworks — not the gate for this work.
Creating a Programme
- Open All pages at the foot of the sidebar and choose Projects and programmes under Organisation
- Click New programme
- Enter a title and optional description
- Link the programme to a client
Programmes start in Active status and can be moved to Completed or Archived when the work is done.
The Programme Detail Page
Opening a programme shows:
- Summary — title, description, client, and current status
- Projects — all delivery projects that belong to this programme, each showing its own status and stage progress
From the detail page click New project — the wizard opens with this programme and client already set. After you create a programme you land on its page, not the list.
When to Use Programmes vs. Projects
Use a programme when you have a body of work that spans multiple discrete delivery phases or workstreams. Use a project for each individual workstream. For smaller engagements with a single workstream, you may not need a programme at all — a standalone project attached to the client is sufficient.
Viewing All Programmes
The Programmes list page shows every programme across your organisation, with the client name, status, and number of linked projects displayed on each card.
